In October 2019 BBRS celebrates 25 years of operation...and still going strong.
Baked Beans Recording was founded by life-long friends and old bandmates, Alan Bean and Rob Baker in 1994. Pretty obvious where the name comes from, eh? Rob retired a few years ago, but the name lives on and the studio is busier than ever under Alan's hand.
Bean left Maine to be a touring musician for 12 years in his younger days, having shared the stage with members of The Allman Brothers Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet, 38 Special and others. His decades of honed production skills translate into a gentle, wise, guiding hand to help you achieve a final product that is "radio ready".
MIXING
Hundreds of full-length music projects of all genres have been mixed within these walls. While there have been huge investments in top quality equipment and software, the skills of mixing are only garnered after years of experience.
RECORDING
When BBRS first started, we were cutting tape and cleaning recording machines daily. When the digital revolution occurred, BBRS was a very early adopter of the new technology of the 90's. As digital evolved, so did BBRS. Frankly, there is no romantic longing for the days of magnetic tape. Long gone are the days when digital sounded brittle.
MASTERING
Mastering is the most overlooked aspect of music production. This is the final step that is required to have a completely professional sounding project. We would love to show you the difference this can make. And, it doesn't have to cost a small fortune.
