Featured Artist
The
Mutineers recently
finished recording a very impressive CD, "Coal Creek" at
Baked
Beans Recording, that proves that Northeners
can, indeed, play traditional applachian music --
--though,
admittedly, Jeff is a transplant from Jacksonville, FL (he's now an honorary
Mainer).
Band
leader, guitarist, singer, harmonicist (is that a word?), Stuart MacDonald
has a voice that is simply soothing and so easy to listen to. His
lyrics fit the genre perfectly with a unique, modern twist.
Jeff
Trippe, plays an incredible variety of instruments, including, guitar,
fiddle, bass, mandolin, percussion, vocals and more. He can
milk some great sounds from his vintage Martin D-28...
Rod
Pervier plays the upright bass with the talent that gives this acoustic
trio absolute authenticity.
Their
CD release party at 1 Longfellow Square in Portland was packed with Fans!
